How to Make Yellow Candy Floss Slime

You will need: 1 cup of PVA Craft Glue, Body Lotion, Yellow Colouring, Optional Yellow Glitter for an extra bit of shimmer, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, contact lens solution and candy floss scent.

Step 1: Add the glue to a bowl

Step 2: Add a big glug of lotion to the glue and mix in well.  You can use any kind of lotion like baby lotion or body lotion, Aldi’s Lacura Body lotion works well for us.

Step 3: Add about 3 drops of the Candy Floss Scent.

Step 4: Mix in the yellow food colouring and/or yellow glitter until you have the desired colour.

Step 5: Add one teaspoon of baking soda, mix in and then add one teaspoon of activator (contact lens solution).  Mix in and then add another teaspoon of activator.
Step 6:  Once the mixture starts to get sticky you can start to knead it.  Add some activator to your hands before you start to mix with your fingers.  Doing this will stop the mixture sticking to  you.

Be careful with the activator.  The activator is what stops it being too sticky but if you add too much the slime will go hard!

Step 7:  The end result is a lovely stretchy slime.

Aftercare:  store your slime in a sealed airtight container.  If your slime starts to break up when you pull it, add more lotion.  You will need to mix the a generous amount of lotion into the slime for about 5 minutes it may go sloppy but then the lotion sinks in and you get stronger stretchier slime.

Tips for the Best Slime

  • Lotion will always make your slime stronger.  If your slime isn’t stretchy enough add more lotion to it.
  • Only add a teaspoon of activator at a time.  Too much will make your slime  hard and rip.
  • Keeping your slime in an airtight container will help it last longer.
